Privacy Notice

Version 1.3 · 14 August 2026

This notice explains what Berisca collects about you, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it. It forms part of the Talent Terms.

1Who is responsible

Berisca Growth & Creative Intelligence - F.Z.E, licence number 52775, Ajman Free Zone, United Arab Emirates, is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to talent@berisca.com about anything in this notice.

2What is collected

Only what the Network actually uses. In categories:

  • Account — your professional name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in readable form), and the language you chose.
  • Profile — full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, city, phone and WhatsApp number, biography, years of experience, previous clients, whether you travel between emirates and whether you have your own transport.
  • Skills and specialities — the categories you work in, your languages, and the tags Berisca applies internally.
  • Measurements, where the categories you work in require them.
  • Photographs — profile and cover images, portfolio work, and the body, activewear or swimwear and close skin photographs some briefs require. Those last are restricted, and section 9 describes exactly how they are handled.
  • Social accounts — handle, link, audience size, average views and engagement, and whether each figure is self-reported, screenshot-supported or verified.
  • Permit and licence details you provide for regulated advertising work.
  • Activity — the briefs you applied to, what you consented to on each application, the outcome, attendance, and the record of which version of the terms you accepted and when.
  • Your consents — whether you agreed to Berisca promoting your membership, and whether you consented at the moment you uploaded a restricted photograph, each with its date and the version it was given against.
  • Technical data from using the Platform — the requests your browser makes, and a cookie holding your chosen language and your signed-in session.

3Why it is collected, and on what basis

Berisca names a basis for each purpose rather than relying on one phrase to cover everything.

  • Running your account and your membership — necessary to perform the agreement you entered into by joining.
  • Reviewing your profile and deciding whether to approve it — the same.
  • Matching you to briefs, shortlisting you, and presenting you to the client casting that brief — the same. This is the service you joined for.
  • Running bookings — confirming details, reminders, attendance and the record of what happened: the same.
  • Contacting you about the Network and about work — the same.
  • Showing your professional profile to a prospective client while Berisca is pitching — your consent, given separately, and withdrawable.
  • Promoting your membership of the Network in Berisca's own marketing — your consent, given by its own box when you join, not a condition of membership, and withdrawable at any time.
  • The restricted photographs — your consent, given at the moment you upload each one, and withdrawable by deleting it.
  • Meeting Berisca's legal obligations, including those attaching to regulated advertising, and establishing or defending a legal claim — permitted by law without consent.

Where a purpose rests on your consent, refusing it or withdrawing it does not affect your membership, and it does not affect anything already lawfully done before you withdrew.

4Who it is shared with

Clients, for a specific brief, and only the part of your profile that brief requires. Clients cannot browse the Network, search it, or reach you through it.

Prospective clients, only where you have consented, only the professional part of your profile, and never your contact details or the restricted photographs.

Service providers acting for Berisca — the hosting, database, file storage and email providers that run the Platform. They process your data on Berisca's instructions and for no purpose of their own.

Authorities, where the law requires it, and advisers where a legal claim requires it.

Nobody else. Berisca does not sell your data, your images or your contact details, and does not share them for anyone else's marketing.

5Where it is stored, and transfers out of the UAE

The database and the file storage that hold your profile and your photographs are operated for Berisca by cloud infrastructure providers, and the data is held in the European Union. Email delivery is operated by a provider that may process a message in transit outside the UAE.

Your data therefore leaves the United Arab Emirates. Berisca relies on the arrangements permitted for that under UAE law: contractual commitments with each provider covering security, confidentiality and use limited to Berisca's instructions, and where the transfer rests on your consent, the consents described in section 3.

Berisca will tell you, on request, which providers hold what.

6How long it is kept

  • While your account is open — your profile is kept so it can be considered for work.
  • After you close your account — your profile is deactivated and removed from consideration immediately. Your photographs and documents are deleted within 90 days.
  • Booking records — the fact of a booking, what was agreed and what happened, is kept for the period during which a claim could still be brought or a legal obligation still applies, under the retention and limitation periods set by UAE law.
  • Your consents and your acceptance of the terms — the version and the date are kept for the same period, because they are the record of what you agreed to and are the evidence Berisca would rely on.

Berisca keeps an internal retention schedule setting the exact periods, and applies it consistently.

7Your rights

You can ask Berisca to:

  • show you what it holds about you;
  • correct anything wrong or out of date;
  • delete your account and your material;
  • withdraw a consent you have given, at any time;
  • restrict how a particular piece of data is used while a question about it is being resolved;
  • object to a particular use;
  • give you a copy of the data you provided, in a commonly used electronic format, or send it to somebody else where that is technically possible.

Most of this you can do yourself from your profile. For the rest, write to talent@berisca.com. Berisca will respond within thirty days.

No decision about your membership is made by automated means. Every profile is read and decided by a person at Berisca, and there is no profiling or scoring that decides anything about you on its own.

8Restricted photographs

Some briefs cannot be cast without seeing more than a headshot. A swimwear campaign, a body treatment, a fitness client: the client is casting on something a portrait does not show. So the Platform asks for two photographs of that kind, both optional — body in activewear or swimwear, and close skin detail.

They are ordinary casting material and they are treated carefully rather than dramatically:

  • Uploading one is optional, and asks for a separate consent at that moment, recorded with its date. Nothing is uploaded on the strength of this notice alone.
  • They are never published, and no client can browse or search them.
  • They sit apart from the rest of your profile. A client sees them only when Berisca releases them for one specific brief that calls for them, which is recorded against that application with the name of the person who did it.
  • Berisca makes that judgement rather than asking you to make it while applying, because whether a brief genuinely needs the photograph is a question about the brief, which you cannot see all of.
  • Deleting one withdraws that consent and removes it from every future brief immediately. That is your veto and it does not need anybody's approval.

9Artificial intelligence

Berisca does not use your data, your images or your voice to train an artificial intelligence model, and does not permit a client to. Clause 6.5 of the Talent Terms sets out the single narrow exception, which requires the brief to say so, a separate written consent from you, and the permitted use to be stated in the booking terms.

10Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Access to the internal system is limited to Berisca staff who need it. The restricted photographs are held apart from the rest of a profile and released only as described above.

No system is beyond compromise, and Berisca does not claim otherwise. Where a personal data breach occurs, Berisca will notify the competent authority and the individuals affected where applicable law requires it, and within the time the law allows.

11Complaints

Write to talent@berisca.com first, and Berisca will try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority in the United Arab Emirates.
